Dua lipa is a English musician and singer born August 22, 1995 at London United Kingdom. The singer-songwriter signed to Warner Bros Records in 2014 following her work as an actress and then launched her self-titled debut album in 2017. The album reached the third place on the U.K. Chart for Albums. There were eight songs released and included Be the only I.D.G.A.F. and New Rules (UK number one). It also peaked at number 6 in the United States. The album, which has since been certified platinum in a variety of countries around the world, won her two Brit Awards (in 2018) in the categories of British Female Single Artist as well as British Breakthrough Artist. Future Nostalgia Lipa released her second studio record in 2020. You can help to celebrate her birthday here. Dua Lipa was born in London on the 22nd of August, 1995. She was born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. Her parents are of Bosnian descent via her maternal grandmother. Her ancestors can also be tracked back to Peja, the Kosovo city of Peja. Lipa's two grandfathers both were historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa and a sister Rina. Lipa was influenced musically by her father the lead singer and guitarist of the Kosovan rock band Oda. Her father at home continued to perform music, including own compositions and songs by David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Sting The Police and Stereophonics. Lipa started singing around the age of five. In the age of nine she began to learn how to sing. Lipa performed If I Ain't gone You by Alicia Keys, and Beautiful Christina Aguilera. In 2014, Lipa has signed a deal in partnership with Warner Bros. Records. The singer released her debut single New Love in August of 2015.
